I Rocked And Rolled All Nite...(sort of)...


The KISS concert was FANTASTIC last night. It was just what I needed to vent some pent up energy – WHOOO HOOO!!!



They took the stage at 9:00 and played until 11:30. Two and a half hours of non-stop Rock & Roll was a spectacle of awesomeness (if there is such a thing).


It’s hard to believe that this band has been touring for 35 years and can still manage to keep a crowd entertained while prancing around in those platform boots.


I would say the highlight of the evening would be the drum solo by Eric Singer. I didn’t think it was physically possible for someone’s arms to move at that rate of speed for such a constant period of time. Seriously, it lasted for at least 10 minutes!


We had excellent seats and I’m thankful J had the foresight to bring ear plugs because without them, I would be hearing impaired today. As it is, my internal organs are still vibrating and my heart beat hasn’t returned to its original rhythm. Is it possible for heart arithema to be caused by too much rock & roll?

The Holidays are behind us for another year, the parties are over and the decorations have been put away. Now what? Apart from some indoor exercise, maybe the odd movie, some reading, an afternoon nap on the weekend and perhaps some weight loss, there is nothing to look forward to in the short term. The Holidays are a bit of a let-down in that respect. So much hype and then when the excitement suddenly stops, I’m left feeling lost – like I’ve forgotten to do something. I usually like to complain about the winter weather in January, but I can’t even do that because it hasn’t been that bad… yet. It’s been cold, but we have certainly been lacking in the snow department. I know winter will arrive and then I’ll have LOTS to keep my “bitter meter” ticking, but until then, what’s a girl to do?

Q&A With Myself...

Today is an anniversary of sorts… Today marks my 2 nd anniversary at my current place of employment.   Over the last 2 years, I’ve had some  a lot of spare time to reflect upon the career path that I’ve chosen and what wrong turns have lead me to the cube where I sit today. I’m not happy with some of the choices I’ve made, but I’m not going to dwell on those – life’s too short .   Each wrong turn has led me to something different, some new experience.   I’ve met some great people, others that aren’t so great and those who should be forgotten, but sadly are etched upon my soul.  I’ve learned some things along the way and have laughed at myself and others while doing whatever it is that I do.   I question whether I should have become a sell out and an ass kisser, but realize that I just don’t have what it takes.  I like being able to hold my head high and know that I’ve gotten to where I am in life by being honest – with myself and others.
